Recycle Re-Purpose Re-Invent April1 April30 Must Recycle

Hello all, hope you enjoyed last months challenged and looking forward to some new inspiration.

News Update ........................
Before getting started there are some changes and a few important announcements here on Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent.

Due to time constraints starting this month my Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent will be returning to a monthly challenge and instead of regular team projects there will now be rotating or returning Monthly Featured Guest Artists. This will give individual artists their own special time to shine and dazzle you with their creative brilliance.

If there are more artist who wish to be featured than will fit within the years quota, there may be more than one Guest Artist being featured at a time. Although there are already a few Fabulous Guest Artists lined up for April, May and perhaps July and August, there are openings for all the other months.

If you would like to be a Featured Guest Artist on Recycle, Re-Purpose & Re-Invent please write to Chris / CS Designs and include the following information.

Your Name, contact informatin and the name and link to your blog or website.
Please also include at least two photos of projects you have created that contain recycled items.

This month as always is Anything Goes but remember you must always Recycle in your project/projects

All challenges on Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent will always be Anything Goes and those challenges will have no prize. On the occasions when there is a special theme posted, a prize will be offered to the top Winner but only participants who's projects follow the special theme will be eligible for Top Winner and prize being offered.

For the Anything Goes challenges there will still always be a Top 3 chosen and those that make Top 3 will announced in our next post and Winners page and receive a badge to show off on the side bar of their own blogs.

Featured Guest for this month is Judy McKay

This is what I started with to make my Queen for a Day shadow box.  I am sorry it is in pieces.
I forgot to take my picture before I started taking it a part.

This is my finished  project.

Below are a couple of other views of the shadow box

I used four digital designs from the CS Designs collection of fabulous digital stamps.  The Dancer Pirouette, Polka and Dot Mini Border images are from the Express Yourself series.  The crown on the dancer's head is part of Edwina's crown image and the sentiment is part of a Express yourself Postage design.

I used a piece of inked torn music paper on the outside of the clock, silver cord to trim the inside of the box and added a heart to the top.  I had lots of fun with this challenge.

Designs used in Judy's project are from CS Designs
and can be found by clicking on the images below

Our Featured Guest Artist for May will be Elenor Sandstrom

I started recycling when I was in high school. I and like-minded friends combed the streets, collecting glass and aluminum, then drove half an hour to the only place that took the "trash" to recycle. Glad those days are gone, and you can recycle everywhere! I love this blog and have had fun giving new life to my old finds!
